DeMars Chooses “Green” International Shipper

DeMars Guitars of Norwich VT has selected FGX (aka First Global Xpress) to handle its international shipping services. Founded in 2000 and based in New York City, FGX has a clear corporate commitment to reducing the environmental impact of international shipping by eliminating traditional package routing and shipping direct-to-destination.

This was an idea that company head Dan DeMars found quite attractive as it is directly in line with his firm”s dedication to environmentally-friendly business practices. He opined, “In business, simple is often better and FGX has created a very innovative and attractive service. While “hub-and-spoke” (e.g., FedEx, UPS) operations make sense for domestic shipping, the FGX model is ideal for international business. Direct shipping is a more efficient way to send any products internationally – it moves packages faster, diminishing logistical problems and resulting in fewer carbon emissions. Additionally, their green philosophy is synchronous with that of us and our customer base as well.”
