Review from “The Inside Connection” magazine
The March 2007 issue of “The Inside Connection” magazine included the following in their Winter NAMM Report 2007, written by noted pro bassist, John Montalbano: “One of the classiest instruments at this show was the Long Trail Bass by DeMars Guitars. This is an electric/acoustic bass in the traditional style of an acoustic bass, but the chambered body and the fact that the strings are fed through the body provide a much more stable design. Aside from a typical bridge piezo, there is also one located in the neck joint. The DeMars Bass has a very acoustic sound to it, but it also sounds tight enough to be used in any application. The bass-clef shaped sound hole is icing on the cake.
