5-String Long Trail Bass Guitar To Be Introduced

Norwich VT –  DeMars Guitars is pleased to announce that a limited number of the 5-string version of the Long Trail Bass Guitar will be available this coming summer.

Dan DeMars comments, “Our 4-string bass was one of the highlights of the 2006 NAMM show in Anaheim.  We had several players and dealers inquire at the booth about the availability of a 5-string bass.  We did research to determine the optimum specifications and realized that a 5-string needs the 35” scale in order to provide adequate tension to the low B-string.  String spacing will be 10mm at the nut and 19mm at the bridge.”

Both the 4- and 5-string instruments will be available with a fretted rosewood fingerboard or a fretless ebony fingerboard, and with a choice of tops: either AAA-grade Englemann spruce or AAAAA-grade flame maple.  MSRP for the 5-string Long Trail Bass Guitar is $3600.
