DeMars Guitars & D’Addario Strings Team Up

DeMars Guitars of Norwich VT (demarsguitars.com) recently announced that their complete line of instruments will feature D’Addario strings.

Dan DeMars, head of DeMars Guitars, explains the relationship: “As the instrument line has evolved, we realized we needed a string company that could deliver a quality product for all our instruments as well as consistent message to the dealer and the player. D’Addario delivers both.”

“We heard the buzz at the 2006 Winter NAMM show about DeMars Guitars” announced Peter D’Addario, OEM Sales Manager for D’Addario & Co. “We are honored that Dan and his team have chosen D’Addario Strings as their strings of choice on all of their wonderful instruments. It is great to see some fresh concepts for guitar and bass in the marketplace. We look forward to a long lasting relationship with DeMars Guitars.”

The steel string Viridis Guitar (MSRP ($3400) features the EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze strings while the nylon string version of the guitar will come equipped with D’Addario’s ball-end Folk Nylon strings.  The 4- and 5-string Long Trail Bass Guitar (MSRP $3300 and $3600, respectively) are available in both fretted and fretless versions. DeMars continues, “The fretted Long Trail will sport D’Addario’s EXP Coated Nickel Roundwound strings and the fretless bass will feature Chromes Flatwound strings.”

All US-made DeMars Guitars chambered solid-bodied acoustic/electric instruments feature a unique dual piezo transducer design (under-saddle and at the neck heel) by K&K Sound, an onboard dual-channel 9V preamp, master volume control, 1/4″ mono output and gold hardware.
